committed to each other ~ student ministry
We believe that the primary source of biblical teaching should come from parents. So we strive as a student ministry to be committed to the encouragement and support of parents in their role of primary spiritual leadership in the lives of their sons and/or daughters. We hope to compliment this process by having youth group bible studies, outreaches, and events. Our prayer is that we would by God’s grace assist in the spiritual development of the of students at Heritage UB, helping them to see themselves as a vital part of the church and God’s kingdom building.

The goal was to get as many Bibles across the border. The youth had a great time!

Bibles for the Border
Bibles for the Border (originally Bibles to Russia) was held on October 23rd from 6-10 p.m. @ Camp Sweers . The purpose of Bibles for the Border is to give our students an appreciation for our country’s religious freedom, and how blessed we are to be able to read God’s Word whenever and wherever we want. Students were "dropped" into a simulated environment where they are on the border of two countries, “AphAggiestan” and “Dansvilleovakia”. Owning, distributing or reading God’s word is illegal in both countries. When the game began, a limited number of Bibles had already been smuggled into AphAggiestan, and the goal was to get as many Bibles across the border into Dansvilleovakia where people are very hungry to read God’s Word.
It was a fun night for all involved and many students took Pastor Cal's challenge of reading the book of John by November 1st. All students went home with a real Bible. Youth Led Worship
Our church body has been blessed to have a diverse group of youth who share a passion in worshiping our Mighty Savior through music and song. Once again they led our church body in worship on October 3rd and blessed us all! Thank you to each one!!

The REBELution: A teenage rebellion against low expectations headed up by Alex & Brett Harris. The battle cry is just three words, but it's an explosive concept: Do Hard Things. That's it. And "do hard things" is a mentality. It's a mentality that flies right in the face of low expectations. The world says, "You're young, have fun!" It tells us to "obey your thirst" and "just do it." Or it tells us, "You're great! You don't need to exert yourself." But those kinds of mindsets sabotage character and competence. Do Hard Things is just the opposite. It's how we build character and competence. It won't drop to meet the low expectations, it won't just do what comes easily, and it won't become complacent. It applies no matter who you are or what level you're on, because there's always something harder to do, something that will take you outside your comfort zone and cause you to grow.
